Q and A: What are the requirements for taking a PADI scuba course?

You must be 10 years of age or older to receive certification in Scuba diving. We also have a medical statement that you must complete. Scuba diving is so safe that no doctor's approval is required unless you answer "yes" to any of the questions on the medical statement. The swim test is very easy; just swim 200 yards at your own pace with no time limit. Then float or tread water for 10 minutes and you're done. If you would prefer, you can substitute a 300 yard swim using mask, fins, and snorkel for the 200 yard free swim.
