How long does it take?

The class format allows you time to prepare at home rather than sitting in a classroom. You'll read the materials and watch an informative video before your class starts. Then you'll finish the majority of the course work in one weekend.

Friday evening and Saturday morning you'll review the written materials. Then you'll spend the rest of Saturday and all of Sunday in the pool learning how to Scuba. It will consume most all of your weekend with class work and pool work...but it won't be dull, you'll be busy, you'll be learning your skills in the pool and classroom, and best of all you'll be having fun. After that, most people complete the training dives in one more weekend.

Training dives are offered throughout the year so you don't have to do it all at one time. If you want, you can go on one of our trips or you can get a referral to do the open water portion while on vacation or at another location.
