2000, Bonaire - MilleniumTrip

Where were you at midnight 2000.

If you were with Diving Enterprises and our Bonaire Trip, chances are you were about 15 feet underwater at Bari Reef in front of Sand Dollar.

There must have been 75 to 100 people all grabbing their tanks for the midnight turn of the millenium dive. We stayed under the water while the year turned over, gave underwater kisses to our dive buddies (some of us anyway), and really enjoyed the unique dive. The city was setting off fireworks over the water and the colorful explosions lite up the underwater terrain. Before the dive many of us watched the world celebrate as broadcasts from all over the world came in showing countries welcoming in the new year. France and the Eiffel Tower, Egypt ad the Pyramids, Australia and the Opera House, etc.

This longish video shows Bonaire as it really is. Simple, quiet, and beautiful. A true desert island with a laid back life style, quiet beaches, good diving, and blue water as far as the eye can see.
